Fall Cheer

About Our Fall Cheer Program

 

Fees

 

Registration

Baby Bucs Jewels (3&4 yr olds) -  $125

All other teams - $200

This fee includes competition fees for all three competitions and a Bucs Cheer tshirt.


Uniform Fees

Baby Bucs

You will not need to purchase new uniforms.  Your registration includes uniform rental.  


6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U

Each cheerleader is required to own their own uniform.  New uniforms can be purchased for $100 or you can shop from our consignment center for used uniforms at specific dates over the summer.  All payments are due at time of fitting.  Your child's uniform will be yours to keep and the fee is non refundable once paid.


All Squads

There are two bows required for the Fall season.  Both bows are new this year.  You will receive a competition bow and a Breast Cancer Awareness bow for the month of October.  The fee is $25 and will be added to your registration fee.   

You will also be required to purchase black shorts for football games as well as cheer shoes.  


Music Fees

All competition music must now be licensed.  In order to offset the costs, we are now requiring cheerleaders to pay a one time music fee of $10 each year.

Time Commitment


Practice Schedules

Orientation is tentatively scheduled for July 30.  Practices will start on the 31st.

Most squads will practice 2-3 nights per week.  

Practice schedules are determined by the coaching staff for each squad. 

Baby Bucs Jewels will only practice 2 nights for a maximum of 75-90 minutes. 

Practices will be held outdoors at Sunset Elementary through the beginning of September when we start practicing inside at local schools.  The nights that your coaches choose are subject to change due to weather, school closings and/or permits. You will be notified by your team mom as soon as this happens. 


Football Games
 

Each squad is required to cheer for one football game a weekend.  Football games are typically played on Saturdays although there may be a few Friday evening or Sunday games. Games begin the first week of September and continue through mid November.

The game schedule is typically released towards the end of August and we will release that information as quickly as possible.

*Note - Cheerleaders are required to cheer for any teams advancing to the play-offs and/or championship.


Homecoming
 

Homecoming weekend is determined after the game schedule is released.  Most squads will be required to cheer two games during the weekend.  There will also be a special events during homecoming week where the children are encouraged to participate.

All competitions have entrance fees for spectators that range from $10-$20. The competition company determines this costs and schedules for the day.  Most of the time this information is unknown to us until the week before competition.

Winter Cheer

About Our Winter Cheer Competition Program


All athletes who did not cheer during our Fall season will be required to attend a Winter Tryout on Monday, November 12 at 7pm in the cafeteria at George Fox.  There are no guarantees for a Winter placement.  Should you have any questions about tryouts and expectations, please email us [email protected]


Fees

 

Registration

All teams - $325

This fee includes competition fees for all competitions as well as a free gift.

Payment plans are available.  All players will also be given $325 in raffle tickets that they can sell throughout the season to offset their registration and travel expenses.


Uniform Fees

Each cheerleader is required to own their own uniform.  New uniforms can be purchased for $100 or you can shop from our consignment center for used uniforms at specific dates.  All payments are due at time of fitting.  Your child's uniform will be yours to keep and the fee is non refundable once paid.  All cheerleaders are also required to own a Competition Bow.  If you do not have one or need a replacement bow, they are $20 each.  The only other requirements will be cheer shoes and makeup, which is determined by each squad.

Travel Expenses

We have three away competitions and all travel fees and expenses are the parent's responsibility.
For Lancaster, we will set up a hotel block or you may choose to stay elsewhere or travel to and from competition that day.

For Ocean City, we will set up several blocks of rooms for you to choose from or you may choose to stay elsewhere.

For Virginia Beach, we ask that everyone stay at the same resort and arrive on Friday.  Dinner will be provided for all cheerleaders and their families one evening. 

Hotel information will be announced by November 15.



Time Commitment
